Around one hundred metres from one of Europes busiest motorways, the A66, on the site of Frankfurt Airport, a new aviation training centre was to be constructed. The brief included the need for a maximum of identity and quality of interior space. At the same time the scale of the surrounding buildings demand a high degree of clarity and reduced architectural typology. The need for physical presence lead to the development of a unique pre cast concrete envelope that strengthens the significance of the training centre amongst the scattered chaos of the surrounding structures.
